2024 Acadia-St. Landry Summer Reading Programs

Library Story Hours and Activities

By Courtney J., Macaroni Kid Publisher May 9, 2024

According to a Louisiana Department of Education report, just 55% of third graders were reading at or above their grade level in the 2022-2023 school year. Acadia-St. Landry summer reading programs provide goal-oriented programs for pre-readers through 12th grad to encourage reading and help improve the literacy rate among children.

Check out the list👇 of libraries that are hosting story times and fun activities throughout the summer in the Acadia-St. Landry area!! If you would like to add a library not mentioned here that is participating in a summer program around Acadia-St. Landry parish email me the information to mackidacadia@macaronikid.com

**Always call ahead to register as seating may be limited and confirm times in case of possible cancellations.
