Junior Police Academy- Opelousas Police Dept.
The Opelousas Police Department is bringing back their Junior Police Academy routine. Applications can be turned in at the Opelousas Police Department or given to your school’s secretary if received by school by May 1st. (Free)


ExxonMobil Career Exploration Camp 

ExxonMobil is sponsoring a Career Exploration Camp for grades 6th, 7th, and 8th. Students will explore Culinary Arts, Allied Health, and STEM! Transportation, breakfast, and lunch will be provided. Registration closes May 8. (Free)

6th grade camp: June 22-25th 

7th grade camp: June 29 - July 2nd

8th-grade camp: July 6 - 9th

National Park Summer Camp (Eunice)
Dates: June 22 - June 26 for ages 6-9 years. June 29 - July 3 for ages 9-12 years at the Prairie Acadian Cultural Center in Eunice. Sign up by calling or visiting the center today! 


Journey on the River of Grace (Washington)
Dates: June 8-12 for grades in 1st through 6th. Visit the Journey & the Well for more information and registration.

Louisiana Folk Roots Camp

For ages 8-14 at the following locations:

École St-Landry (Sunset): June 8–12

Acadian Culture Center (Eunice): July 20-24

Vermilionville (Lafayette): July 27–31

Just for Fun Camp (Rayne)
Dates: June 8–12, June 15–19, and June 22–26
For boys and girls, grades 2-7yrs (up to age 12) Registration information at Rayne City Hall. 


Art Camps

Artbox Studio & Gallery in Opelousas

Crowley Art Association
Hosts summer art classes filled with creativity, hands-on projects, and fun learning experiences for ages 6-9 years. For further information please visit or call The Gallery Monday thru Friday, 11am to 5pm, and Saturday 10am to 1pm at 337-514-5114.

Summer Art Camp – Demitasse Artworks (Eunice)
Session 1: May 26-28 for ages 4-5 years. Creative Thinking, Drawing, Canvas Painting.

July Camps

Pioneer Robotics Summer Camp (Notre Dame High School- Crowley)
Dates: Mon-Friday July 13-17 
Spots are limited, so register early! Campers who register and pay by June 30 will receive a free t-shirt.

Louisiana Folk Roots Camp (Prairie Acadian Cultural Center - Eunice)
Dates: July 20 -24th for ages 8 to 14 years.
There is a limited number of participants accepted so register before spots fill up! Tuition fee includes: a morning "Biscuits & Jam" snack, hearty lunch meal, afternoon snack, and water beverage. Fill out the registration form here


Summer Camps for Special Needs and Medically Fragile Children

Camp Bon Coeur- The only camp of its kind in Louisiana, Camp Bon Coeur provides a fun and safe environment for 'cardiac campers' with heart defects who are between the ages of 7-16. For questions and more information call the Camp Office: 337-233-8437

Louisiana Lions Camp - Lions Camp is a state-project of Lions Clubs to provide a free camp experience for qualifying boys and girls of Louisiana with Special Needs, Diabetes, Respiratory Disorders, and Childhood Cancer.

Camp Unique - the D.R.E.A.M.S. FOUNDATION OF ACADIANA hosts Camp Unique, which is suited for individuals with special needs. For more information visit dreamsfoundationaca.org
