What a way to start off Spring than kicking off with a successful community event! Macaroni KID Acadia-St. Landry was at the Opelousas Love Fest and it was an amazing turnout! We are excited for more community events and projects to come.
We were so excited to be a part of this community project of love and connection with local families and organizations. It was truly a day of love and community as families came out and enjoyed amazing food, music, fellowship and so much more. We had over 50 filled Easter Baskets thanks to our contributing sponsor Lily Pad Pediatrics, LLC. My Macaroni KIDs helped out in putting them together and had a face painting station. We even had some assistance from one of the other members there who lent her art skills for the event!
This is only the beginning of what we hope many more community events to come for Macaroni KID Acadia-St. Landry! There are so many events coming up this month we are looking forward to:
The 30th Anniversary of the Opelousas Museum & Interpretive Center
And with the state-wide Love the Boot Week taking place April 18-24 Macaroni KID Acadia-St. Landry is hoping to participate with efforts to help clean up local communities. Stay tuned and follow our social media pages (@MacKidAcadia) for updates on what's to come.
