Fun facts about Easter

  • Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ in the Christian religion.
  • Coloring Easter eggs began in Ukraine.
  • The first story of a rabbit (the “Easter Bunny”) hiding eggs in a garden was published in 1680.
  • Easter is the second biggest candy holiday after Halloween.

Fun facts about Passover

  • Passover is the oldest continuously celebrated Jewish holiday.
  • During Passover, Jewish people eat matzos because it is in memory of their ancestors who escaped slavery in Egypt in such a hurry, that there was no time for their dough to rise.
  • During the Seder dinner, the youngest child at the table generally asks four questions, the answers to which explain "why this night is different from all other nights."
