This jam session in Eunice is a special Saturday morning tradition hosted at the Savoy Music Center. Enjoy traditional Cajun music at this jam session held at Savoy Music Center! Play to the rhythm of Cajun music masters alongside accordion craftsman, Marc Savoy, or dance along to the beat with other enthusiasts.
The Savoy Music Jam is a pinnacle of music preservation in the area.
Marc’s jam session etiquette is part of the reason the jam is so famous. It is not a place for younger artists to “show-off”.
Who
It’s not a talent show, but instead a cultural exchange of stories, tunes, tips, and a few laughs. Anyone is invited to bring an instrument and play Cajun tunes.
Don’t know how to play? That’s just fine.
Chairs are set up for the audience to sit and listen or get up and dance!
