Description
Looking for a rural Mardi Gras celebration? Experience the Courir de Mardi Gras in Cankton with live music, a gumbo cook-off, chicken run, and a trail ride!
The courir takes place at the Landon Pitre Memorial Park in Cankton, just a few minutes south of Sunset. The Chicken Run trail ride departs from the park at 9am.
There is an entry fee at the gate. (Proceeds benefit Louisiana Special Olympics)
Get ready to dance the day away because there will be a live DJ starting at 9am and live music starting at 2:30 PM until 5:30 PM.
