The Festival of Words Cultural Arts Collective is a FREE festival that hosts literary activities for adults and teens, including workshops, drive-by-poetry, open mics, and other public performances from published authors.
This year the festival will be held on November 8th-9th in Grand Coteau with events in creative writing, an open-mic community stage, and 'drive-by poetry' of the festival's authors' writing presented by youth.
These writers will provide a Community Reading on Friday at The Hive in Grand Coteau.
Saturday: Writing Workshops beginning at 9am. You must pre-register for these workshops. (see more under How)
Also on Saturday, a Community Stage at Thensted Center is open to all writers and performers. Youth Creative Writing Contest winners read their works and receive awards..
Local students circulate through Grand Coteau and Sunset performing "Drive By Poetry", dramatic readings of works by the visiting writers."
