Rain Day (Nov. 2nd)Description
Take a self-guided tour around the town of Grand Coteau during the annual Sweet Dough Pie Festival, passing by: St. Ignatius School, the St. Peter Claver complex, the Schools of the Sacred Heart, and St. Charles Church and cemetery.
The Sweet Dough Pie Festival celebrates the unique culture and history of Grand Coteau. Each year pastry chefs and home cooks compete in a sweet dough pie contest with a large variety of pies for purchase and the public gets to judge. Popular favorites include fig, custard, lemon, blackberry, and other local, seasonal ingredients.
The event will also have guest speakers, arts and crafts vendors, food and live music and DJ. It's fun for the whole family to enjoy.
