Storytime will take place every Tuesday at 10am through July 16Description
The Opelousas Public Library presents: Adventure Begins at Your Library! Summer Reading Program 2024 with programs for birth-6 years and ages 7-12.
Goal oriented programs encourage reading and public library use during the summer months and beyond. Storytime and Activity times add to summer fun.
Registration is required
Anyone enrolled in the program may earn credits toward a reading certificate by reading to other family members or anyone enrolled as a Read to Me participant.
Reading Rules:
- Read at least 6 books, preferably on your reading level.
- Only 6 books per person can be checked out at one time.
- Books can not be returned the same day
Keep a list of the books you read and bring the list to the library. A reading certificate and rewards will be presented at a special program on Friday, July 19 at 2pm.

Sign up beginning June 4, 2024 by visiting the library. Last day to register is July 1.
Parents will register as a single unit, noting how many family members will be attending. If you have any questions about this story time or how to register, please call the library at 337-948-3693.
