St. Landry Parish Early Learning Network is a program implemented to provide families with quality care and learning experiences for children from birth to age 5 to prepare them for Kindergarten with the skills needed to be a successful learner. All programs within the network follow the Louisiana Birth to Five Standards as well as following state guidelines to measure children's growth and determine classroom teacher quality.
Early Learning Network Centers include:
- Type III Childcare Centers
- Head Start/Early Head Start
- Nonpublic school - PreK
- Public School PreK
All sites use Teaching Strategies Gold to assess child development, and also use the Classroom Assessment Scoring System to evaluate effective teacher-child interactions.
