We are so excited for Fall weather and all of the fun festivities it brings in the community. One favorite fall activity we know many families enjoy are the fall markets where you can often find delicious homemade goodies of the season, festive wear and accessories handcrafted from local vendors and more! There's always something different at each one and it's a great opportunity to get a jump start on your holiday shopping for some unique gifts while supporting local artists.

When my daughter asked what volunteer opportunities we could look into in our community for her JAG program I knew a few organizations that we could definitely assist with. Hope for Opelousas was in need of Reading Buddies to assist their students in the after-school program to help build and encourage reading!
We enjoyed listening to the kids read their stories and upon our second visit the students were eagerly awaiting to be paired up with a buddy.
