Celebrating MacKID Publishers Making a Difference On Our 16th Birthday

Our local publishers are the heart and soul of our company

By MacaroniKID November 16, 2023

Macaroni KID is turning 16 this November!

We are nearly 400 Macaroni KID publishers strong, each of whom is an invaluable member of their community. Our publishers'  jobs are to provide parents with the scoop on the best things to do and places to go with kids in their towns. They do that — and so much more! We're so proud of the ways Macaroni KID publishers make a difference in and showcase their communities. From publishing weekly newsletters highlighting local events to hosting events in their communities, they are making an impact every day. Read below for some recent examples of our publishers' efforts and adventures. Their impact on their communities, local businesses, and millions of families is enormous and so inspiring to see.

Sixteen years is a long ride! I've only been around for two years now, having taken over as Macaroni KID for Acadia-St. Landry in 2021. I believed so much in providing a resource where families could find local family-fun activities and things to do within their community. I feel like we are also making a positive impact on the local businesses in our communities, especially through partnerships that help connect them to our readers.

Here is how just three of our publishers have made a difference in their communities recently:

Jennifer R MacaroniKID Publisher of Lafayette, La is partnering with local sponsors to help up to 4 local families in need this holiday season.

Tracie Ysaguire, MacaroniKID Publisher of New Iberia, La is a homeschool mom and hosts a weekly segment on News15 with fun and easy craft ideas.

Kaitlyn Grosz, publisher of Macaroni KID Plymouth-Canton, Mich., worked with sponsors and delivered 150 Boo Bags last month to families in her community:

These are just a few examples of Macaroni KID publishers making a difference in their communities. Each and every one of our publishers has their own story to tell! Join our community now and maybe we'll be telling your story in this space next year. We currently have several Louisiana territories in need of local publishers including Central Louisiana, Lake Charles, Baton Rouge, just to name a few! We can't wait for you to come with us on this journey!
