Hey MacKid Acadia families,
Can you believe December is already here? The year has really flown by and we are anticipating a very busy month as it comes to an end with so many events coming up for December.
Here's a glimpse of what we've been up to lately in our community!
In October we hosted our first Reading with Kids Event at Le Vieux Village where we read stories aloud to kids and handed out books and Halloween treats. We also participated in Trunk or Treats at local schools!
In November we celebrated new beginnings for two local non-profit organizations that are valuable resources in our community with the re-opening of CASA of St. Landry-Evangeline and new location of Opelousas Pregnancy Center.
We also visited the new Chik-Fil-A location in Opelousas. Find out more on what this means for St. Landry Parish in our article ‘New Chik-Fil-A Opens in Opelousas’.
Burger Zone in Crowley partnered with us to give a lucky MacKID fan a seat in their Reindeer Paint Party and we're in talks with giving away a seat in their next upcoming event!

We also got an early start to our holiday shopping with our good friends at the St. Landry Chamber of Commerce's Tangled in Tinsel shopping event benefitting the Chamber Foundation.
