Oh, pizza. How we love you. Let us count the ways: Pizza makes dinner a breeze on the nights when cooking is just not gonna happen. No one in the family ever complains about pizza night, and pizza is DELICIOUS.
Pass me another slice, please.
We are lucky we have a lot of locally-owned great pizza shops to satisfy any and all pizza cravings. Here are our 5 favorite locally-owned spots for pizza around Acadia-St. Landry
Pizza Shack
1242 Edith Street, Opelousas | (337) 948 - 4838
What we love: This has been a long-time local favorite spot. Their pizza is by-far the best around with unique combinations like the Ferdie's Special, but they have many other menu choices that are really good too. They can cater to vegetarian lifestyles and even crust-less options for low-carb dietary restrictions. They always provide friendly service. Stop in on a Tuesday for their special: Buy one medium size pizza get one of equal or lesser value for half price!
Cajun Saucer at Bayou Teche Brewing
1106 Bushville Hwy. , Arnaudville | (337) 754-5368
What we love: There's more than just good beer at the Bayou Teche Brewery! Authentic wood-fired pizzas are handcrafted with delicious toppings and unique combinations. They have gluten-free crust options too and the kids are welcome!
Pizzaville USA Church Point
9515 Church Point Hwy. | (337) 466-7333
What we love: Now you can get the same great quality and variety of options Pizzaville USA has to offer without driving miles out of your way if you reside in or near Church Point. They offer house specialties that you won't find at the chains such as their Cajun Special or a personal fave, the Lady Liberty - made with Alfredo sauce, grilled chicken, and Buffalo sauce. Yum!! Tuesdays are Kids Night, get a free kids meal with the purchase of a meal!
2218 N. Parkerson Ave. Crowley| (337) 783-0754
2224 W. Laurel Ave. Eunice | (337) 457-8319
What we love: This pizza-chain is a trusted favorite for many reasons. What's great is the selection of pizza you can choose from and it's THE party place to go for kids' entertainment without having to travel too far from home. Both Crowley and Eunice locations frequently have great offers and giveaway promotions on their social media pages. Sometimes they even have fun, live entertainment for the kids. The fact that the game-room is separated from the dining area makes this chain another reason why we love it.
Hunt's Brothers Pizza
Main Street Shell in Church Point ~ Bourque's in Port Barre ~ Tiger Trax #6 in Opelousas ~ Janise's Supermarket in Sunset ~ Champagne's in Leonville ~ 3 Peas in a Pod in Rayne
What we love: This franchise is hard to beat compared to other popular chains and conveniently located in many communities. With many locations inside your neighborhood grocery store you can take care of your grocery shopping needs and grab supper when you're done or call ahead and pick-up when you don't feel like dining out. You can bring home pizzeria-quality pizza to enjoy with the family and some locations even have a convenient drive-thru.
