For the last 3 years my kids and I have enjoyed playing Games Across Acadiana and look forward to its return!
The Miles Perret Cancer Services will be hosting Games Across Acadiana (GAA) for its 5th consecutive year. You can join in the excitement as Acadiana becomes the ultimate playground for players starting May 31st through June 15th.
If you and your family enjoy doing scavenger hunts this is a great community involvement game to participate in for an awesome organization.
What is Games Across Acadiana (GAA)?
GAA is a virtual scavenger hunt that consists of ‘missions’ and activities to participate in and earn points for a chance to win prizes. If you have never participated in this interactive challenge you will need to download the free app called Goosechase from Google Play or the App Store.

Add more points to your team by adding us as your team partner!! After you’ve downloaded the app join the 2024 Games Across Acadiana, you will receive a form to fill out. Add MommaCJ as your team partner! Then start completing missions!
Each mission has a point value and can range from videoing yourself doing a silly dance to actually visiting a specific location. This year there are approximately 70 missions with many local businesses around Acadiana across multiple parishes that will be participating!
It's a really cool and fun way to get your family doing activities together from making videos playing simple games, dressing up, to actually visiting designated spots throughout Acadiana. In fact, the first time we visited the German Heritage Museum and Candy Land Cottage in Rayne was through playing the games.
The goal of the scavenger hunt is to perform missions to accumulate 10,000 points to “earn” an entry into the Grand Prize drawing for $10,000! Theoretically, if all missions are performed (excluding bonus points or bonus entries) a team can earn up to 5 entries into the grand prize drawing. The hunt is FREE, but additional entries can also be purchased for $20 each.
We don't always make all the destinations that are part of the missions, but we just enjoy completing the missions as a fun family experience.
GAA also serves as a way to raise funds for Miles Perret Cancer Services to help them continue their mission supporting local families going through cancer treatment. Donation collection jars can be picked up at the Miles Perret Cancer Center to collect and save your loose change which can be turned in once filled up for additional entries into the grand prize drawing.
